Sunday School

Sunday School opens with an opening devotion at 10:25 pm in the Parish Hall at Christ Lutheran Church for all children and adults each Sunday.

After the opening, 3 year old's - 6th graders will go to their classrooms for their Sunday School lesson.

For the month of September, the Sunday School offerings will go toward The Big Give (a cooperative effort of Midwest Food Bank, Thrivent, and Home Sweet Home Ministries). 

The goal of this year’s Big Give is to provide 1,500 complete Thanksgiving meals to McLean County residents in need.

As a church, we have been blessed to support The Big Give for many years. In 2025, our goal was to provide 60 meal kits, and thanks to your generosity, we surpassed that goal by providing 74 kits! 

This year, our goal is 80 kits.

The gaylord boxes will be available in the Christian Fellowship Area from the end of August through the end of September for you to place your donations. 

A shopping list with the specific items needed will be available by the church office and in the Christian Fellowship Area. Feel free to pick up a list the next time you are heading to the grocery store. Shopping for items will take place throughout the month. And once again, if you would like someone else to do the shopping for you, simply let Lisa Scheltens know, and she will be happy to help.

If we meet our goal, there will be a Thank You Tailgate on Sunday, October 25th from 5:00 pm - 6:30 pm in the church parking lot off the kitchen.
