New Post

WOMEN’S BIBLE STUDY… All women are invited to our next Women’s Bible study on the topic of Waiting with Patience, Hope & Trust.

We wait. In traffic, at the doctor’s office, for prayers to be heard.

Waiting can be agony, especially in our “instant” culture.

But what if the waiting rooms of life are God’s best classrooms?

Join us as we learn to surrender our worries to God and handle the waiting in our lives!

Details: We will meet in the Parish Hall starting @ 7 pm on Sept 20, Oct 4, Oct 18, & Nov 1.

Pastor Weedon Workshop

A Workshop on “Thank, Praise, Serve, and Obey – Recover the Joys of Piety” will be led by Rev. William C. Weedon, Director of Worship for the Lutheran Church Missouri Synod Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Christ Lutheran Church, Normal, IL.

Pastor Weedon will help clarify the difference between “piety” and “pietism”.  Genuine piety fights against the inward focus, turning our attention toward God and His promises, and toward our neighbor in love and care.  Pastor Weedon will help us unpack and cultivate from his new book, eight godly habits that befit the household of God, the family of our heavenly Father, all helping us to live “outside ourselves”.

Doors open at 9:00am for coffee and rolls.  Tickets are $10 per person, which includes lunch.  You may reserve tickets by phoning the church at 309-452-5609, ext. 2 or by emailing at by Friday, October 5.  Payment for the tickets can be made with cash or check when you arrive.
